PAEDIATRIC CARE

Sans Souci

Gentle, age-appropriate care for babies, children, and teenagers

Gentle, age-appropriate chiropractic care for babies, children, and teenagers

At Seib Health Performance, we provide gentle chiropractic care tailored to babies, children, and teenagers. Care is individualised, age-appropriate, and focused on assessing and supporting movement, posture, and musculoskeletal function in growing bodies.

All care is delivered in a calm, supportive environment, with clear communication and parental involvement at every stage.

Our Approach

Paediatric chiropractic care is not the same as adult care. Treatment is gentle, adaptable, and guided by a thorough assessment of movement, posture, and development.

Care focuses on:
  • Understanding how a child moves and functions
  • Supporting age-appropriate development
  • Gentle, low-force techniques
  • Education for parents around movement, positioning, and daily activities

We work collaboratively with parents and other healthcare providers when appropriate.

Care for Babies, Children and Teenagers

Parents may seek paediatric chiropractic care for a range of reasons related to comfort, movement, and development.

Common reasons include:

  • General unsettledness or difficulty settling in babies

  • Feeding or positional preferences

  • Head shape concerns related to positioning

  • Tension through the neck or body

  • Postural changes or asymmetries

  • Growing pains or activity-related aches

  • Sports-related strains or movement restrictions

  • Postural fatigue related to school, study, or device use

Care is always tailored to the individual child and may include gentle hands-on techniques, movement-based support, and age-appropriate strategies.

Primitive Reflex Assessment & Exercise Rehab

Primitive reflexes are early motor patterns present in infancy that typically change as the nervous system matures.

In some cases, a chiropractor may assess movement patterns that include primitive reflex activity as part of a broader physical assessment.

Where appropriate, care may include:

  • Primitive reflex screening as part of movement assessment

  • Individualised, age-appropriate exercises

  • Support for coordination, posture, and movement efficiency

Any exercises provided are designed to be practical, safe, and appropriate for the child’s developmental stage.
