PRENATAL & POSTNATAL CARE

Supportive care for pregnancy and beyond

Pregnancy and the postnatal period place unique and changing demands on the body. At Seib Health Performance, we offer gentle, personalised prenatal chiropractic care to support comfort, movement, and confidence — from pregnancy and birth preparation through to postnatal recovery and return to exercise.

Care is education-focused, evidence-informed, and tailored to your individual needs.

Pregnancy-related pain is rarely caused by one structure alone. Changes in hormones, posture, joint load, muscle function, breathing, sleep, and daily demands all play a role.

Our approach focuses on:

  • Understanding why your symptoms are occurring

  • Supporting safe movement and load management

  • Gentle, pregnancy-appropriate treatment

  • Clear education for pregnancy support, labour preparation and postnatal recovery

Care is always adapted to your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery.

Why See a Chiropractor during Pregnancy?

Prenatal chiropractic care aims to support movement, pelvic balance, and comfort throughout pregnancy.

This may help with:

  • Low back pain

  • Pelvic girdle pain (PGP)

  • Hip or pubic symphysis pain

  • Rib and mid-back discomfort

  • Sciatic-type symptoms

  • Neck and upper back tension

  • Postural fatigue and headaches

Treatment is gentle and tailored, and may include hands-on care, mobility work, positioning advice, and simple exercises you can safely do at home.

Postnatal Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Care

Postnatal recovery is about more than “getting back to normal.” Your body needs time, support, and progressive rebuilding.

Postnatal care may support:

  • Pelvic floor–friendly rehabilitation

  • Abdominal separation (diastasis recti) management

  • Low back, pelvic, and hip pain

  • Postural strain from feeding, carrying, and lifting

  • Safe return to exercise and daily activity

Our approach intergrates clinical prenatal and postnatal Pilates principles to guide strength, control, and confidence in movement — meeting you where you are, whether weeks or years postpartum.
